We recently took the reigns on all things digital for Syco Music. As well as running all of the artist’s websites and social campaigns, we’ve also been looking after the charirty single ‘Helping Haiti – Everybody Hurts’.

Some of the biggest names in music have joined forces to record an emotive cover of REM’s classic “Everybody Hurts”, to raise money for charities supporting the relief efforts in Haiti. Syco artists involved are Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Joe McElderry, Susan Boyle and Westlife, who join Bon Jovi, Take That, Robbie Williams, Kylie, Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Mika, Michael Bublé, James Blunt, and James Morrison. Phones 4u has appointed Punktilio as its specialist social media agency. Phones 4u is known to run with weird and risky creative (recall ‘Scary Mary’ and ‘Flight of the Conchords’ ads?!), which will make our job fun. We’ll work closely with PR, Marketing, and Operations to amplify and embellish core marketing messages and campaigns.

We’ll also manage Phones 4u’s social strategy, profiles, blogs, wikis, content, advertising and production, as well as drive ‘social intelligence’ relating to Phones 4u customers online activity. We’re building things now, but expect to see the fun kick off in March.

We’ve looked after Syco artists for quite some time now, but recently we were instructed to take the reigns on all things digital. It’s our job to make sure all the social media initiatives are being built and activated, as well as assessing commercial opportunities and making the case for improvements on the labels websites. Facebook Connect is numero uno.
