We recently took the reins on all things digital for Syco Music. As well as running all of the artist’s websites and social campaigns, we’ve also been looking after the charirty single ‘Helping Haiti – Everybody Hurts’.

Some of the biggest names in music have joined forces to record an emotive cover of REM’s classic “Everybody Hurts”, to raise money for charities supporting the relief efforts in Haiti. Syco artists involved are Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Joe McElderry, Susan Boyle and Westlife, who join Bon Jovi, Take That, Robbie Williams, Kylie, Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Mika, Michael Bublé, James Blunt, and James Morrison.

We’re creating pages and groups as I type and liaising with all the artists to get their fans support. We’ve got some of the biggest Social Networks on board, including Facebook, Myspace, and YouTube. We are also liaising with Nokia, The Sun and other brands to get the word spread as far and wide as possible.

Proceeds from the single will be split 50/50 between DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and the “Helping Haiti” appeal in aid of Doctors without borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières UK.
